I "met" Aimee about six years ago in the MDA online chat room for Friedreich's ataxia.  She was always very uplifting while while in the room.  Aimee was so very encouraging, I will miss her dearly, but I know I will see her again in Heaven.

We first had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Aimee 20 years ago on our first visit to the family in America.   Since then we have so many happy memories of our time spent together both in England and Lynnwood.  She will always be remembered for the twinkle in her eyes, the cheeky smile and asking for yet â€œanother cup of teaâ€. I never was able to meet Aimee but I know her father well.  He is a good man and I know that he loved Aimee with all of his heart, and showed it always.

I met Aimee a few years back, and got to know her and her mom & dad a little bit. During this time I was given the opportunity to help Aimee with some of the regular challenges she had. I met you after receiving my first computer on the MDA chat, with many others with muscular dystrophy. You were so encouraging talking to us all, you were blessed with a strength and light nobody could help to see. Those of us that had the pleasure of knowing you, we will never forget you Aimee. May you rest in please in the presence of our Lord, and we will know there's another angel to watch over us all...Your brother in Christ Glen J. Dodd.

Love the pictures.  They bring back so many memories of that sweet face.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Aimee was the bravest person I know, living her entire life devoted to her family and beloved friends.  She never complained of the hand she'd been dealt, but taught us  compassion and consideration .  She fought valiantly to remain on this earth until we had our chance to learn our lessons and release her to the loving hands of Jesus.  Aimee was an advocate for the disabled and counseled them during her tenure at Edmmonds Community College so they might make the best of what opportunities lay ahead.  She loved watching sporting events and enthusiastically supported the Seahawks and the Huskies knowing more stats on the players than most sports casters.  Aimee passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving Mother and father and her "other mom" Debbie.  She left for the Heavenly gates with the same grace and dignity with which she lived her life.  Rest in peace our angel.

I am so so sad to hear of Aimee's passing. When I think of Aimee, I remember our visits when I came into town. I thoroughly enjoyed our chats. I also think of the dogs that she loved so much. I remember meeting Aimee when she was very young. We lost contact until a few years ago and I looked forward to getting her email jokes regularly. We know she's in our Lord's arms now, but my thoughts and prayers are with the family that for so many years had the privilege of holding and caring for her in their arms. I remember when Aimee was very little and she had gotten a tape of Alvin and the Chipmunks. She loved that tape and played it over and over until it almost drove us all nuts.  She was in shear delight.
