She resided her last several years in the Kirkland, Washington area near family. Barbara grew up Selah, Washington and married Kermit Zarley before moving to West Seattle, Washington.
She loved to entertain herself and others, danced Saturday nights at the Seattle Center and enjoyed walking everyday. She wrote many unpublished books, graduated from UW after her divorce at 50 years of age, learned how to play the violin in her 60’s and made her living as a real estate agent.
She was beloved by neighbors, friends and family. Survived by 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
