Tôi đi đến cuối đường đời
Mặt trời khuất bóng chân đồi xa-xa
Mặt trời vụt tắt nắng tà
Đừng đem buồn thảm vào nhà tang nghi
Xin đừng than khóc thương vì
Miss Me – But Let me Go

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Nguyễn Trần Thị Bê, pháp danh Nhuận Thiện, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend, who departed this life peacefully at home on the 26th of June, 2025 at the age of 73.
Born on October 1, 1952, she is the devoted wife of Nguyễn Hoành, sharing 55 beautiful years of marriage filled with love, overcoming adversity, starting a life together, unwavering partnership and filled laughter. Together, they built a home that welcomed all not just family, but friends, and anyone in need of a warm heart and a helping hand.
She was the proud and loving mother of four children and the cherished grandmother of five grandchildren, and 8 siblings each of whom brought her immense joy and pride. As the eldest of eight siblings, after her oldest brother a respected South Vietnamese Army officer passing, she carried the torch of leadership and love, guiding her family with grace and strength during the tough times.
Her life started in Thuận An, Huế, Việt Nam, full of friends and family, but after the Vietnam War ended, she and Hoanh made the decision to escape with the family on a small boat across the ocean from Thuận An to Hong Kong in the summer of 1978. With 3 children under 5 years old and carrying one in the womb their journey was arduous and dangerous but they finally migrated to the United States starting in Dallas Texas in 1979 and finally settled in Seattle since 1980. Hardworking and passionate in entrepreneurship, she started out working in many types of jobs and finally worked at a restaurant called Arnold’s in Capital Hill while raising four young children. Working tirelessly at 2-3 jobs daily at times she learned about the restaurant business. Later with her hard-working husband, she opened and operated their owned restaurant name after her “Be’s Restaurant” in West Seattle.
There, she built a community of friendships. Customers there became family and friends alike. Her favorite was a group of customers that became friends and gathered every morning, calling themselves “Be’s gang.” She also later expanded her business in rental property and laundry business. Her establishments were not only places of service, but a safe place for many new coming immigrants seeking support. Her kindness, generosity, and open heart touched countless lives.
Although hectic with business and family, she always has a zest for life — humble yet full of joy. Not only did she worked hard, raised the family, she loved traveling, gathering with friends and family, partying, dancing, and singing. She was always the life of every party, always ready to sing her favorite karaoke songs and bringing a smile to those around her. Her energy and liveliness were infectious, and her love for celebration and partying reminded us all to cherish every moment.
She was also a loyal friend, a wise confidante, and a sister figure to many. Her presence was a blessing; her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Nguyễn Hoành; her four children (Thúy & her husband Vũ Doan, Jade Ngoc, May, Vũ and his wife Phương); 5 grandchildren (Noah, Madeline, Karen, Chloe and Nolan); her six siblings and thier families (Quý, Huê, Sinh, Hương, Trang and Bé), her nieces and nephews of her passing younger brother Phú and countless extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.
