Up until the end Betty maintained her kindness, grace, compassion, appreciation of beauty, love of family and friends, and expressed gratitude for her long life.
Betty’s greatest joy came from helping people, volunteering, spending time with her family and fostering a loving environment. Her homemade poppy seed rolls and lasagnas were legendary among the family members, and her holiday gatherings were eagerly attended by family and friends alike. Betty’s love for nurturing things was evident in her backyard garden which she lovingly tended for over two decades.

A private family service will be held on May 16 at Acacia Memorial Park and Funeral Home, followed by a gathering at the Kalmus family home. The family will be sharing Betty's cherished family stories, ensuring that her legacy of love and togetherness continues for generations to come.
