Betty Frances Lessard

Betty was born in Pasadena California to Ferris Jones and Norma Raines. She was the youngest of four children, her siblings being Connie, Edward and Roxy. She also had four step sisters, Linda, Sherry, Sue and Patricia. She lived in California until 1956 when she moved to Washington State. Her first son, Sheldon was born in August 1962. Shortly thereafter she fell in love with Lyle Lessard. They were married January 25th 1964. Second son Michael was born in September 1964 and was followed by the third and final son, Marty in March 1969. The family has always lived in Washington except for two years in California when Lyle worked for the family business. Betty's extended family now includes four grandchildren, Nichole, Christopher, Sheldon, Brandon, two great grandchildren, Kadence, Torrence and four daughters by marriage, Angel, Wendy, Cristina and Erica. During her short life Betty touched many lives. In addition to her three sons, she raised many foster children and was always available to help anyone in need. Betty did not believe "it takes a village to raise a child", she thought she could do the job alone.

Please help us in celebrating her life with a joyful memory and a smile. A memorial will be announced in the near future.
