

Bruce E. Stine died at the home of his beloved daughter, Susan, in Lake Forest Park, WA, surrounded by love and family, on December 13, 2015. He was born in Cass City, Michigan, on April 29, 1921 to Herman and Mabel Stine.
He accomplished many things in his long life. He always said his six children were his greatest joy. His abiding faith in Jesus Christ was the center of his life.
Bruce was awarded his wings when he was 22 years old and he loved to fly. He was a Navy Aviator in World War II, attaining the rank of Lieutenant (j.g.). He then attended Grand Rapids Theological Seminary and Eastern Michigan University and received degrees in Theology and Education. He was a Pastor of Mission churches in Mid-Michigan for over 30 years and a school administrator in Michigan, Illinois and Virginia. Post retirement he was a substitute teacher for Seattle Public Schools and a building manager for Seattle Senior Housing.
He is survived by his sons, Philip, Jonathan (Ruth Ann Mullen) and Daniel (Veronica), and by his daughters, Susan Stine (David Sanders), Sharon Stine Schaefer (Rudolf ) and Julianne Venhuizen (Duane). He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years and the mother of their children, Otillia Mary (Yurk), on May 17, 2006.
Private burial is scheduled in Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington. A Memorial Service at Bethany Community Church, 8023 Green Lake Dr. N, Seattle, Friday, April 29, 2016, 1 pm.

Gentiva Hospice and the caregivers from Care Force helped the family with his care at the end of his life in wonderful and supportive ways. The family appreciates the excellent care he received from the VA and his primary care doctor there, Dr. Takahashi.
Grandchildren: Jason (Tracy) Richey, Briana (Taylor) Essick, Teah (William) Boswell, Britta Stine, Stanley Stine (Nicole Wallace), Dion Stine, Mikaela Stine (Nick Hansen) and Jorey Stine. Great-grandchildren: Taylor, Devi, Jonah, Rylan Stine, Rylen Richey, Liam and Jude.
