

Charlotte was born in Suffern, New York on September 10, 1930. During the Depression her family moved from New York State to Duluth, to Kalispell, then finally to Bremerton where her father, George Snider took a job in the Navy yard. Charlotte met Carroll Leonard King while living in Bremerton. They married and had four children: Fred; Janet (neonatal); Ron and Joni. Char worked at Sears for many years and later at Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe on the Seattle Waterfront from which she retired. Len and Char got divorced in 1988. Char spent the rest of her life on her own living in her West Seattle home. She had many friends and had a lot of fun times with them. Her children kept tabs on her and visited often. Char fell and broke her hip on December 12, 2024 and she declined quickly after that and passed away just after 3:00 am at Providence Mount St Vincent in West Seattle on January 1, 2025. She is survived by Fred and Dianna King; Ron King; and Joni and Chris Richard. She had three grandchildren: Larissa, Ian and Jill, five great-grandchildren: Jennifer, Cassidy, Madeleine, Adam and Elliot, and two great-great-grandchildren: Mikel and Averie. Char was preceded in death by her dad, mom, sister Shirley, brother George, brother Bob and by her ex-husband, Leonard.
