Chien Hsiung Chang

Chien Hsiung Chang, age 85, passed away on March 10, 2023 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was at home and surrounded by his family at the time of his passing. Chien was born on February 11, 1938 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He immigrated to Seattle, Washington in 1968 after completing college in Taiwan. While in the United States, he pursued his graduate studies in both Political Science and Mathematics at Washington State University in Pullman, WA. He had a successful career as a small business owner and was married to his wife, Sue, for more than 50 years. Chien is survived by his wife, Sue, his two children, Dennis and Margret, and 4 grandchildren. Chien was an avid reader and loved Philosophy and the Humanities. He also was a doting grandfather and enjoyed being with all of his grandchildren. He will always be remembered for his gentle nature and generosity and will be sincerely missed. A graveside service for Chien Hsiung will be held Friday, March 17, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Acacia Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 14951 Bothell Way NE, Seattle, WA 98155
