

He was born on June 25, 1942, in Seattle, Washington, to the late Kathleen and Ralph W. Krows, and was raised in the Magnolia District.
Dave graduated from Queen Anne High School in 1960 and enlisted in the United States Air Force in June 1961. After completing basic training, he graduated from the Aircraft Hydraulic & Pneumatic School and went on to serve as a still photographer with the 363rd Tactical Reconnaissance Wing. He was recognized with several commendations for his service, including the USAF Outstanding Unit Award during the Cuban Crisis, the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.
Following his honorable discharge in 1965, Dave attended Bellevue College, where he earned a degree in Criminal Justice. He began his law enforcement career serving the cities of Medina and Clyde Hill before joining the Port of Seattle Police Department, where he dedicated twenty-six years of service until his retirement in 1999.
A longtime resident of Kenmore, WA, Dave is survived by his beloved wife of fifty years, Margaret; their children, Deanne, Lisa, Matthew, and Benjamin; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. His love for family was unwavering and deeply felt by all who knew him.
Dave had a lifelong passion for boating and travel. He joined the Queen City Yacht Club in 1989 and served as Commodore in 2003. He also earned his U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Marine license in 1983. Dave was a life member of the Nile Shriners A.A.O.N.M.S.

A celebration of Dave’s life will be held at the Queen City Yacht Club, 2608 Boyer Ave. E., Seattle, WA, on June 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.
