Surrounded by her family, Diana L. Henderson, 86, passed away on August 19, 2026 in Burlington, Washington. Born on October 4, 1939 in Camas, Washington to Wilbur and Leila Harms, Diana graduated from Port Townsend High School in 1957 and eventually earned a BA in education. As secretary to the Dean of Fine Arts at Kutztown University in Pennsylvania, she qualified her family for free tuition.
Diana was a dedicated member of the Pennsylvania League of Women Voters, including a year as president, and she often volunteered for Seattle Art Museum charity events. In retirement, she and her husband were world travelers and competitive bridge players.
Diana met the love of her life, William W. Henderson, in 1958 at the University of Washington and married him a year later. They spent 58 wonderful years together before his passing in 2016. Diana was also preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Leila, and her brother Richard. She is survived by her three sons and their families: Joseph and Mei; James and Marija and their sons, Chandler and Ian; and Donald and his children, Brian, Erik, Kyle, and Julia.
Diana Henderson will be laid to rest at Acacia Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Seattle, Washington on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 1:00 pm.
