Dick Jerry Smith, age 78, passed away at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington on March 2, 2012. He was born on January 16, 1934 at Yakima Nursing Home to Tremaine J. and Pearl (Wellwood) Smith in Yakima, Washington. Dick is survived by his son and daughter, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, and many loving extended family and friends. He faithfully served in the United States Army followed by a career as a Civil Servant for the Federal Government. His heart and passion was his music. Graduating with a Bachelor of Art's Degree in Music Composition, he enjoyed his time playing piano in the Seattle Symphony. Dick's great sense of humor, smile, and loyality will be forever missed.
