Donna Louella Chase

Donna Louella Chase October 31,1933- January 3,2012. Donna was residing in Puyallup at the Silvercreek assisted living facility for a short time prior to her passing at the age of 78. After a ten year battle with COPD, Donna passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and extended family members at Tacoma General Hospital. Donna was born in Seattle and attended West Seattle High School. As a young wife she worked at Hansen's Bakery in Seattle and later as a bookkeeper at Burien Loan when her three children were teenagers. She was one of two children born to John and Helen Cornett and was the beloved wife of Jerry L. Chase Sr. for over 59 years. She is preceded in death by her son John F. Chase who passed away in 1975. Donna will be forever remembered by her loving brother John Cornett, her son Jerry L. Chase Jr. and her daughter-in-law Bakan, her son Jim Chase and daughter-in-law Yu Shea, her 13 grandchildren and her treasured 10 great grandchildren. Donna touched the lives of many people with her smile, gentle nature and zest for life. The family requests that all donations be sent to the American Lung Association.
