Dorothy, age 97, passed away peacefully at home with her daughters by her side. She was preceded in death by Robert, her loving husband of 62 years. She is survived by daughters, Marilyn and Susan, granddaughter Kelly and their spouses.
She was born in Pittsburgh, PA and was the youngest child of William and Rebecca. Her father passed away when she was 7 and that experience shaped the rest of her life. After graduating from high school, Dorothy and her mother moved to the Pacific Northwest to begin a new life where she began working as a secretary at Sears. There she met, and ultimately married, Robert who had just returned from WWII. At 24, she left her position to become a wife, homemaker and mother.
She loved jazz and standard music, playing the piano, was an excellent seamstress and stylish dresser, enjoyed gardening, being a homemaker, and needlepoint.
At her request, no services will be held.
