It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Efren Barroga Crisostomo Sr., who passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026, at the age of 83.
Born on December 21, 1942, in Ilocos Norte, Philippines, to Jose Crisostomo and Marina Barroga Crisostomo, Efren was known for his kindness, gentle spirit, and humor. At 16, he traveled to America aboard the SS President Wilson and later settled in Waipahu, Oahu.
There, he met the love of his life, Evelinda, and together, they shared 62 wonderful years of marriage, building a life rooted in faith, hard work, and family. Efren owned Tino’s Barbershop in Waianae before moving his family to Seattle, Washington, where they raised their children and established deep roots in their community.
He worked for Bethlehem Steel Company and later Ash Grove Cement Company until retirement. Above all, he cherished time with family, sharing stories, laughter, wisdom, and unconditional love with those around him.
Coining the phrase, “Not Too Good. Not Too Bad. Just Right!” When asked how he was doing. A personal motto reflective of his outlook on life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Evelinda Crisostomo; his children, Val Marie Crisostomo, Efren Crisostomo Jr. (Lisa), Darlene Snow (Joel) and Mercy Crisostomo Campbell (Chris); his grandchildren; Alyce, Alana (Zach), Thomas, Aspen (Drew), Kourtnie, and Colton.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his devotion to family, warm heart, strong work ethic, and enduring legacy of love.
Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever in our hearts.
