

Elizabeth was born May 02, 1979, in Mojo, Ethiopia and moved to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia when she was 10 years old. She studied and worked in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia prior to departing for the United States in 2003.
She attended South Seattle Community College in 2006 and become LPN.
She received an Associate's Degree in Nursing from Highline Community College in 2008. Elizabeth continued her education at the University of Washington, Bothell and graduated in 2009 with Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Elizabeth was devoted to her profession, nursing. She loved to care for the underserved. She worked in skilled nursing homes in Seattle and its surroundings. Valley Medical Center Neuro Unit was her recent place of work.
She enjoyed her family, appreciated the beauty of nature and loved to travel. She was dedicated, dependable, compassionate, and trustworthy.
She is survived by her mother, Gerawork Banjaw; brothers, Binyam, Ashagere, and Endalkachew Mekonnen; sister Aster Zewedie and her children, Ahadu and Gelila Zelalem; Aynadis Mekonnen; cousin Shitaye Tessema and her son, Japhet Meron; her husband Samuel Wallelgn whom she married in 2012.
She proceeded in death by her brother, Genanaw Zewdie.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 pm on Thursday 25, 2021 at Acacia Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Seattle, Washington.
