Hey buzz,

I think of you often. You were a great friend.

We called Francis "Buzz".  He was one of my best friends for years.
We did countless things together from school, to traveling, kayaking, and of course, to skiiing.
Then I moved away and we lost touch, as is so often sadly the case.

I think of Buzz often.

I wish that someday someone would contact me to share some of Buzz's life with me.  It is an open wound.

to those who knew Francis (Buzz)   I don't know why, as we grow older, that we forget to contact close friends. 
Regretaably, I  lost contact with Buzz  for many years.
I searched several times but could not find a trace of him.  I should have tried harder.  We were good friends long ago.  He was a good man, thoughful, smart, kind, and loyal.  We loved working together and playing together which included skiing, kayaking, camping, and conoeing.

I was study partner and close friend to Frances (known as Buzz) during our study at the University of Washington and working together in Ultrasound as staff members in the Bio Engineering department.

I grew up in Chicago and knew nothing about skiing.  Buzz, of course, was an excellent skier being from Colorado.  I asked if he would help me and he agreed "as long as I could keep up".  Buzz's ski mantra was to cross trails only when absolutely necessary.  Thus, I spent the entirety of my learning in the trees.  I would fly past Buzz who was waiting for me and could see Buzz almost falling over laughing.  I literally use the word fly because, like superman, what was left of my skis were behind me.  

The cascades can be marginal, but never our desire to ski. Once we went to a Washington ski area, left there went to another, left there went to Sun Valley Idaho where we skied, then to Montana,  Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, Salt Lake city, for two unexpected or unplanned for trips.  It was so great, we did the same the following year.  My wife to be thought as unusual (as did my boss).  

Buzz was smarter then me (and I am smart).  His phD in pattern recognition amazed me as did his foresight to buy Microsoft.   I searched a few times but didn't find him.  My wife just found this obit.  I am so sad. I loved Buzz and have thought of him often. 

If anyone could contact me, so that I might learn more of Buzz's life, I would greatly appreciate hearing more of Buzz's life.

We were inseparable.  I am crushed to find of his loss.
