Fred Walter Fischer age 89 passed away Sept. 9, 2011 at 7:14 am at Northwest Hospital. Survived by wife of 40 years Yongja Fischer. He was born in Zwickau, Germany to Fritz and Louiska. Fred was a physicist, engineer, and educator. Fred was a Boeing engineer for 30 years, and also an instructor at North Seattle Community College for 20 years. Fred earned his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree at Columbia University in New York. He earned his PhD. at the Technical University in Munich, Germany.
