Generous, loving, and kind epitomize the life Gladys Stover lived. Her family was her top priority as well as her many dear friends. Gladys was born in Everett, Washington November 16, 1916 to Norwegian immigrant parents, Ole and S. Elise "Lizzie" Slettum. Gladys passed away peacefully February 6, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Orvin Stover. She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Peter) Acker; son, Dick (Candy) Stover; grandchildren, Tom (Anne) Acker, Rob (Christy) Acker, Christine (Steve) Atrosh, Adam (Jennifer) Stover, and Ken Stover; and 10 great grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held at Island House on Mercer Island from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 16 for family and close friends. She will always be remembered for her warm heart, warm house and warm cookies. The family suggests memorials may be made to a children's organization of your choice.
