James served his country in the United States Navy for 20 years retiring as an E9. He then worked on state highway maintenance for 20 years retiring as a superintendent. He is survived by his wife of 72 years Beverley Anne Kessack and three children James, Deborah, and Gina. He also had 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. James was a practicing member of the Catholic church by teaching catechism, being an active member of the Knights of Columbus, and serving as an usher for many years.
A rosary for James will be held Friday, March 3, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Our Lady Queen of Heaven, 14601 A Street S, Tacoma, Washington 98444. Following the rosary will be a funeral mass from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church, 14601 A Street S, Tacoma, Washington 98444.
