

Jean Clayton Larson, known to all his family and friends as "Bud", born in Ballard on Thanksgiving Day, November 29, 1923, passed away March 1, 2012. Preceded in death by his wife Doreen, and his second son Bob.
Survived by his children Ed (& Chris), Bob's wife (Eloise), Jean DeLong (& Jim), Bill (& Melodee); thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also survived by June Greenwood-Larson, whom he married in 1980, and was a loving step-parent to her six children, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Bud served in the Army in Italy in WWII and five additional years in the Navy Reserve after returning home. His first civilian job was driving for Metro-transit, followed by the Fire Dept., both in Seattle. His life-long career was serving as an agent for Farmers Insurance until retirement in 1985.
He had many years of enjoyment while RV traveling around the country, including on the road to Alaska. Each person in both families will miss his cheerful personality, loving nature and the great stories he always shared.
