

Joseph Nyangweso was born July 4th, 2002, in Tacoma, WA to Shadrack and Tracie Nyangweso. Joseph is preceded in death by his Grandparents Joseph and Ann Nyangweso of Kisii Kenya as well as three of his uncles from Nairobi Kenya. He is survived by his parents Shadrack and Tracie, brother Jacob, Grandparents George and Sharon Critchell of Wenatchee, WA., Uncle Seme Nyangweso of Bothell, WA, and Kevin Critchell of Wenatchee, WA as well many aunts and uncles in Kenya. Cousins Madelyn, Bennett, Andrew, and Jaylyn all of Washington State as well as many cousins in Kenya.
Joseph graduated from Auburn Adventist Academy where he played on the school’s varsity soccer team. He enrolled at La Sierra University in the fall of 2020 with the goal of becoming an orthopedic surgeon and became involved in cancer cell research and the university’s Pre-Medical Society.
Toward achieving his dreams, last summer he participated in an internship, via the Zapara School of Business, at Adventist Health in Marysville, California. He served as a trauma surgery intern and worked in healthcare management and orthopedic and thoracic surgery areas.
With a strong interest in sports and fitness, Joseph worked as a sales specialist at 24 Hour Fitness in Riverside CA while taking classes. He was also well known for his passion for soccer and enjoyed cheering for the Seattle Sounders.
Joseph enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He lived an extraordinary life filled with adventure, optimism, passion, positive energy, laughter, and love. He will truly be missed by everyone.
A service will be held on August 25 at 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. with viewing prior from 10:00 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. at Auburn Adventist Academy Church, 5010 Auburn Way S., Auburn, Washington. A burial service will be held at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery, 2020 Mountain View Dr., Auburn, Washington.
