

Katherine was born March 23, 1922 in Spokane Washington, daughter of Mary and John Pavelich. She lived in Kellogg Idaho as a young person, graduating from Wardner-Kellogg High School May 1, 1940. She remained close to many of her friends in Kellogg throughout her life. As a young woman she moved to back to Spokane for a short time to help care for her niece Lynn Stimson before moving to Seattle to start a career as a stenographer. Her last position was with Standard Oil where she met the love of her life Hank Davis while working in Portland Oregon. On November 14, 1964 Katherine and Hank married in Seattle with family and friends in attendance before moving to San Rafael California. Hank and Katherine had a wonderful active life together golfing and traveling the world. Hank preceded her death in 1995. She continued to reside in San Rafael until 2008 when she moved to Seattle to be closer to her family. During her time in Seattle she continued to be an active engaged person. She joined the YMCA swim class where she made new friends.
Katherine will be remembered as an amazing lady, intelligent and compassionate person, dedicated to her family and friends. She was supportive of both of her sisters Matilda DeGabriele and Josephine Stimson who both preceded her in death. She remained close to her 4 nieces Lynn and Carol Stimson, Lisa Florio and her husband James Florio and Rita DeGabriele. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, quick wit and intelligence and ability to connect with so many people throughout her life.
A memorial service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 6701 30th Ave SW, Seattle WA 98126 on 10/26/17 at 1 pm with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers Mrs. Davis’s family is requesting that donations be sent to the following: St. Jude Children Research Hospital, Smile Train or the Seattle Humane Society.
