the beautiful life of Keora Kwanjai Truong, a precious daughter, sister, and light to all who knew her.
Keora was born on August 16, 2020, in Seattle, Washington, and on January 6, 2026, she gained her angel wings. Though her time on this earth was far too short, her impact was immeasurable.
From the very beginning, Keora showed the world what true courage looks like. In and out of the hospital for much of her young life, she faced challenges that no child ever should—yet she met each day with a bright smile, joy in her heart, and strength beyond her years. Like her beloved Cinderella, Keora lived by the truth that “a dream is a wish the heart makes.” Her dreams were simple and pure—to grow, to dance, to laugh, to love, and to be surrounded by family—and she lived each day holding those wishes close.
Keora was the cherished daughter of Hai Quoc Truong and Kristina Pathaya Rattanavong, and the devoted big sister of Kai Truong, whom she adored. She loved her bà noi, grandparents, uncles, extended family, and friends with her whole heart. Some of her happiest moments were spent at Disneyland, during family outings, dance parties at home, camping indoors, baking, watching her favorite videos, and singing along to Disney songs, R&B, throwbacks, and K-pop.
She found joy in the smallest things—silly sounds, funny videos, big hugs—and took great pride in her accomplishments, including winning an award for being the best at brushing her teeth. Yet her greatest achievements were the countless hospital victories she faced with grace, bravery, and resilience, teaching everyone around her what true strength looks like.
Keora's life, though brief, was filled with meaning. She taught us to be brave, to be kind, to stay present, and to smile even on the hardest days. She showed us that love is powerful, joy is contagious, and dreams—no matter how small—matter deeply.
Keora will be remembered as a brave little girl with a big heart, a radiant smile, and a beautiful spirit. Her story reminds us that even the shortest lives can leave the greatest legacies. And as Cinderella believed, a dream is a wish the heart makes—Keora's wishes were made of love, and that love will live on forever.
Fly high, sweet Keora. Our princess forever.
