Lawrence passed away July 19 in Lynnwood, WA at the age of 92. He was born on Nov 8, 1920 in Almira, WA to Richard and Myrtle Baker Murbach. As one of 9 children, he is suvived by one sister, Neva (Ralph) of Spokane, WA. On Aug 8, 1942, he married Florence Moen in Davenport, WA. Soon after, he joined the Army and served with the 622nd Ordinance in the Pacific theater which included the Phillipines, New Guinea and Australia. Returning to Davenport, Lawrence and Florence, along with daughters Luanne and Carol, farmed until 1957 when the family moved to Mt. Vernon, WA. There, along with his brother Jack, he worked long haul trucking for one year. The family then moved to Seattle where he worked at the Boeing Company until his retirement after 25 years. He and Florence spent their next years motorhoming, fishing and travelling to visit family and friends. They attended many family reunions, as well as those of his fellow Army "buddies" with whom he stayed close. His greatest love was his family, for which he would do anything, and he loved being a grandpa and great-grandpa. He will be greatly missed by all of us who knew and loved him.
