Lillian Inez Bokovoy
June 23, 1934 – June 1, 2018
Lillian Inez Bokovoy, née English, was born on June 23, 1934. Her mother was Edith Dorland. Lillian had two brothers, Walter and Thomas. She also had three sisters, Elma Mae, Jaqueline and Nadine. In addition she had a large extended family with lots of aunts and uncles and cousins.
Lillian married Jim Barber in 1949 and had three children. Gerald (Cherri) born in 1951, Linda (George) in 1952 and James in 1955. Lillian then married Roy Bokovoy in 1971.
Lillian’s family continued to expand as her children married and had their own children. Her grandchildren are Glenn (Anne), Brian (Danielle), Nicholas (Megan), Christopher, Amanda (Kincaid) and Trisha. She is also the great grandmother to Addison, Emma, Austin, Jackson and Henry. Her life was blessed with step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren also.
Lillian always worked out of her home. She owned and operated a day care for the state of Washington for many, many years. After she and Roy were married, her love of dogs led them to become breeders of collies. They owned a very large kennel where they bred and raised them. They were quite active in the American Kennel Club as well as the American Collie Club. They traveled the United States participating in dog shows and buying and selling dogs. She was especially honored to have won Best In Show with one of her males.
Lillian passed away on June 1, 2018 at 6:00 pm.

So sorry to hear about Lillian's passing. I am certain you all must miss her terribly. She accepted my daughter (Elisa R.) into her daycare and took very good care of her. She taught her some responsibility by having her take care of Sugar, one of her collies. She oversaw a successful daycare and kennel and was always very kind to us. Our condolences to you and your family.
