
With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, Luis
Villamides, who departed from this world on March 5, 2024, leaving behind cherished
memories and a profound legacy.
Luis was born on April 6, 1964, in Ponce, PR to Virgenmina Torres and Antonio
Villamides who instilled in him values of compassion, integrity, and resilience.
Throughout his life, he embodied these virtues, touching the lives of all who knew him
with his warmth and generosity of spirit.
Luis' journey was one marked by dedication and passion. He pursued his dreams with
unwavering determination, achieving success in his endeavors while remaining humble
and grounded. His remarkable work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of
colleagues and peers alike.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Luis was a pillar of strength and support for
his family. He cherished his role as a brother, sharing a special bond with his siblings,
Alexander Felix, Silvia Villamides, and Lissette Rivera. Together, they formed an
unbreakable bond, navigating life's joys and challenges with love and solidarity.
Luis' presence illuminated every room he entered, his infectious laughter and kind-
hearted nature leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Whether through his acts of kindness or his words of encouragement, he had a
profound impact on the lives of those around him.
Luis was respected and loved by many for his compassion and caring for his
students {Mr V} as a coach, referee and umpire [COACH V} – Luis loved sports!
Though his physical presence may be gone, the memories of Luis will continue to live
on in the hearts of his family and friends. As we mourn his loss, let us also celebrate the
beautiful life he lived and the legacy of love and compassion he leaves behind.
In honoring Luis' memory, let us strive to emulate his kindness, his resilience, and his
unwavering spirit. May we find solace in the knowledge that he has found peace, his
spirit forever etched in the fabric of our lives.
