Marion (Aunty) Richards was born in Seattle, Washington, and passed away at Vineyard Park Retirement & Assisted Living Home in Bothell, Washington. She attended Ballard High School until she was 16 when she left to attend Beauty School in Downtown Seattle where she became a licensed Beautician. After obtaining her license, Marion later owned and operated her own hair salon in Capitol Hill called “Marion Richards Hair Design” for 48 years, retiring in 1995.
In December of 1941, Marion married the love of her life, John James Richard, Jr., whom she was happily married to until his passing in 2004. In the 50s and 60s, Marion entered many Hair-styling Competitions, winning many awards across the country, the highest of which being the Diamond Shield award.
Marion is survived by her niece, Linda (Donald) Stiffler of Anchorage, AK, her nephew, David Tuttle of Wasilla, AK, 6 Grand-Nephews, 1 Grand-Niece, and numerous Great Grand-Nephews & Nieces.
Her smile & laughter will be cherished & missed by many.
