

Marjorie Sigurdson, age 87, went to be with her Lord, living in the Easter Promise, March 29, 2023. She was born March 28, 1936 in Spokane, WA, the third of 4 daughters to J. Terry Owen and Norma Hazel Bach. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Sigurdson, her three sisters, and her parents. She grew up in Bellevue and Seattle, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1954. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education at Western Washington University. She loved to travel. She taught abroad in Germany and Japan. She met and married Art in 1967 and raised 2 wonderful children. She was a substitute teacher, an EA, and a librarian for the Monroe School District. Following her husband’s death she met new friends and continued her traveling adventures. She is now on the greatest adventure of all. She was full of quick wit and humor and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her two children, Erik and Jennifer (husband Clay); her step-daughter Cheryl; 6 grandchildren, DJ, Tyler, Ashley, Caleb, Nolan and Kyra; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at Acacia Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday, April 11th at 11:00am followed by a light lunch and a graveside service at 2pm.
