Matthew Richard Hale joined his beloved Ann in Heaven, Dec.27, 2014. His life was cut short after a robbery and brutal attack he received while walking home from work, the evening of August 3, 2011. He never fully recovered from the injuries he incurred.
Matthew was born on September 1, 1942 in Brockton, Massachusetts to John and Alice Hale. After graduation from Brockton High School in 1960 Matthew served in the United States Navy until December 29, 1966. He married the love of his life Ann on April 24, 1979 in Fairbanks, Alaska where they lived until 1989 when they moved to Seattle and started their own business together. Matt was a kind friendly man. He made many friends everywhere he worked.
Matt loved his city of Seattle, particularly, the Belltown area. He would tell his children every new building being constructed, the best restaurants to visit, and most importantly, how his beloved Mariners were doing. Seattle has lost one of its biggest fans!
