Michelle was the eldest of eight children and was born in Seattle on August 3, 1956, to Frank and Joanne LaVielle. She spent all of her life in the greater Seattle area. Michelle was a member of the Teamster’s, Local 66 and retired from Darigold in Seattle. Michelle proudly joined her union brothers and sisters on the picket line when called to do so and remained a strong supporter of all unions and their advocacy work on behalf of workers throughout her life.
Michelle was most passionate about music and had an extensive music collection and introduced all of her siblings and friends to the pleasures and joys of music across genres. We all have special memories of Michelle connected to music. She loved to dance and sing and even hit the karaoke night every now and then with her special rendition of “Holiday” by Madonna. Music defined and narrated Michelle’s life.
Michelle leaves behind six siblings, Brian, David, Greg, Beverly, Barbara, Michael, and her beloved nieces and nephews, Sarah, Samantha, Emily, Brandon, Eric, Kevin, Alexander, Sean, Adam, Maxwell, Shuai and Mitchael as well as great nieces Layla and Scarlett, and many wonderful friends who enriched her life. Michelle was predeceased by her parents, and brother, Scott.
Please share your written memories of Michelle below and continue to play and listen to the music that celebrates her memory.
A private memorial service for family and friends will be held in May 2023.
