I was blesssed to have found the Miller family while living in Seattle 19 years ago, I was in the planning stages of returning to California when I met Fred and Nancy.  Being alone during the holiday season of 2002 I was invited to spend Thanksgiving and eventually Christmas with what would become my adoptive family.  Chris and Emily, you accepted me as yet another sibling and made me feel welcome and Fred and Nancy became my 2nd parents and made me feel loved.  Nancy, you'll always be remembered for the times we shared both there in Seattle and here in SoCal many years later. That was one of my favorite weekends ever. Thank you to Fred, Chris, Emily and all the rest for allowing me to be apart of something so very special and thank you Nancy for being my friend and loving me, as you did so many others in your life. I miss you and love you and I'll see you on the other side when my time comes. Fred,, Chris, Emily and all...know my heart, thoughts and prayers are with you, now and always! 

Fred,
my condolences to you and your family.  May God continue to give you peace, comfort and strength.  You did your best Fred, but God loved her more.  Earth has no sorrow that heaven can't heal, Isaiah 35:10.



I'm going to miss her dearly. I will continue on with the family. We will continue together as she wanted and she will be with us in our hearts wherever we travel.

I love you Nancy and I promise I will see you again when it my time to go.

Nancy was resistant to having her picture taken as can be seen in some of the photographs. I would tell her it was important so people would have something to remember her by. I told her the displays of displeasure would be part of what others would be seeing. Good, bad, or indifferent, that was Nancy, the woman I loved.

We met for a blind date on June 6th 1974, although she wasn't aware it was a blind date at the time, arranged by her sister Dianne and her husband Dusty who I had been friends with for a long time.
I had just been discharged from the Army. I was only twenty ears old. Technically I was not a full adult so Nancy was in essence my childhood sweetheart. I fell in love with her at first sight.
