Orville Lloyd Mall was born March 28, 1922 to Clarence Milton Mall and Anna Martha Helena Bohling in Great Bend, KS. Orville is survived by his son Christopher (Tami) of IN, stepdaughter Yolanda of Seattle, brother Roy (Issy) of TX, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and family in Seattle, IN, KS, and TX. He was preceded in death by his wife Maria, daughter Cynthia, stepsons Leo (Patty) and Rudy (Judy), sisters Delores and Lucille, and his brother Leland.

After high school Orville entered the Navy and served in WWII calling the USS Pennsylvania home; he often spoke of being on watch in the South Pacific as a Seaman First Class. He would recount the numerous countries he visited and would tear up about the time his ship was torpedoed and the loss of life that resulted.

Orville married Vera Leus in 1949 sharing two children, Chris and Cindy. While residing in ID, they moved to Seattle after being recruited by Boeing often joking that he built airplanes as a nod to Orville Wright. After Vera's passing in 1967, he met Maria Delgado Macias while at Boeing and they married in 1976 living a happy and full life together until her passing in 2011. They traveled often and hosted holiday gatherings for decades with many family parties in between. Orville was full of wit, humor, and humility. He could fix and build anything, enjoyed photography, the Mariners, and crossword and jigsaw puzzles. His patience, calmness, and kindness will live on in others as he never hesitated to lend a helping hand, making you feel like you were never alone.

On November 13, 2020 Orville peacefully passed away at home while being cared for by family. Truly a selfless man, life without him can never be the same.

So very sad to hear of Mr. Mall's passing. Sincerest condolences to the family. Such a good man! He and his wife Maria were a beautiful couple. Besides at church, we would often see each other at festivals and often run into each other at our favorite neighborhood breakfast place, Young's. Mr. Mall had a great sense of humor, so charming! I remember him introducing himself as "Orville Mall, of the White Center Malls!" He cracked himself up! He and his beautiful wife are now reunited in heaven, bless their hearts! Que en paz descansen.
