A truly remarkable individual left an indelible mark on our lives today, a man whose two tours in Vietnam shaped his unyielding spirit, a man with scars who still managed to be a phenomenal father to his sons, a kind and patient grandfather, a sweet father-in-law, and a loving husband to his wife of 58 years.
Freedom is never truly free; it is paid for in the currency of courage. to leave this working on the Fourth of July is a final, quiet reminder of the ultimate sacrifice. They are not gone; they are woven in the very liberty the county celebrates.
