She was always our darling, dimpled, curly hair “baby sister” as she was 6 yrs younger than the next child. She loved sweets and she had 7 sisters and one brother to supply her with her favorite candies and treats. She attributes this to her early introduction to dentists and her life long sweet tooth. She always had a fashion sense and always made her own choices of what she wore and suggestions for those who lacked her special gift. She did very well in school and excelled in music, mastering the flute at a young age. She attended Blanchet, as most of her family had done before, but graduated from Lincoln, preferring their excellent music program, where she was first chair.
Paulette found her calling with Christ and His bible teachings at an early age and loved to share her musical talents with many churches. She was employed for Penney's for 40 years as one of their top fashion and sales associates. Like her father at Boeing, she had almost perfect attendance at every place she worked.
She was generous almost to a fault and loved to buy gifts for her large family of sisters, brother, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and friends. She loved her family and friends and all were gifted with one of her delightful paintings or a hand knitted treasure especially the new born babies. She adored babies. She had a strong mind of her own, so love to share her vision of events. She was born with great sensitivity, possibly with one foot in heaven, She suffered deeply with harsh world events but her inner child remained intact and joyful.
Paulette found her artistic flair early in life but when she retired she was prolific. Many were spiritually motivated. She also loved to dance and walking and dancing were her favorite exercises. She loved Dancing with the Stars and met many of them personally and was their no 1 fan. She loved Seattle and enjoyed walking all the trails, Burke Gilman trail, Green Lake, Golden Gardens. She moved to Seattle at 2 years old and would never move from her beloved Seattle.
“A life well lived” and we dearly miss our baby sister, but our greatest solace is to know that she is now dancing and playing the flute with the Angels in the arms of her beloved Savior Jesus Christ.
Paulette is survived by sisters, Elsie Watt, Virginia Scott, Tina Jacobsen, Elizabeth Fogarty, Bernadette Leith and preceded in death by Eliseo and Eleanor Lopez, Stanley Lopez, Lita Pons, and Viola Altman.
