PRIMO J BACCETTI
January 1, 1920 – January 19, 2019
Primo John Baccetti, our loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather has returned to his eternal home in heaven on Saturday, 19th 2019 at the age of 99 to join his sweet wife Evelyn. Primo was the oldest of three children born to Arturo Giovanni Baccetti and Elvira Pia Baccetti on January 1, 1920 in Lucca, Italy. He is survived by his two sisters, Rose Marie Barr and Annie McCarthy. Primo came to the United States in 1929 at the age of nine and has since been a life-long citizen of Seattle, Washington. Primo graduated from West Seattle High School in 1939 and married his high school sweetheart, Evelyn Loretta Tracy on August 17,1944. His wife Evelyn passed away on August 31, 2013 just shortly after their 69th wedding anniversary.
In 1945 Primo enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War II and served on the Air Craft Carrier "The U.S.S. Hornet". He became a Chief Petty Officer in the Fleet Air Service Squadron. Later Primo worked at Boeing for the Air Force Civil Service Division becoming an Air Force Plant Representative. He worked as an inspector for Quality Control, Production, Safety Officer and Property Administrator. Primo put himself through four years of college getting a Bachelor degree in Business Management while working at Boeing. He also served as president of Toastmasters International Club in 1964. Primo retired from Boeing in 1979 at the age of 59 and retired from the US Navy in 1980.
Primo was an active and dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served faithfully as Scoutmaster, Cubmaster, Elders Quorum President, and was ordained as a Seventy in the Seattle 2nd Ward. He also served as First Councilor in the 2nd Ward Bishopric, and an Ordinance Worker in the Seattle Bellevue Temple. He was a true disciple of Jesus Christ and had a strong testimony of the gospel that he loved sharing with others.
Primo and Evelyn had five children; Randall John Baccetti, Kathleen Yvonne Ashworth, and Kenneth Ray Baccetti. Raymond Arthur Baccetti and Richard LeRoy Baccetti were predeceased early in their youth. Primo and Evelyn leave behind 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Primo had a profound love for his family. He will be greatly missed but his legacy will live on in his posterity.
