

After emigrating from the Bacolod, Negros Occidental Philippines at the age of 18, he became a US citizen, and lived primarily in the Seattle area for the past 64 years.He worked for the Philippine Consulate for many years, and then changed careers, working as a Barber in downtown Seattle.
He was well-liked and well-respected by many of his customers, who later were to become his long-time friends. He was a generous man who always made you feel special. He was very giving of his time and friendship. His favorite greeting line to everyone was “have you eaten yet?”
Aside from being a great cook, his other hobbies included fishing, golf, and spending time with friends, family, and relatives.
"A long-time diabetic, Ray remained healthy up to, and throughout his retirement. Bravely, Ray underwent kidney dialysis treatment, for renal failure for 8 years." Throughout his health issues, Ray remained active, energetic, healthy and driven. He never missed a scheduled dialysis session and never complained about having to go 3 times a week for 5 hours at a time for treatment.
He is survived by Aurora, his beloved wife for 55 years, his 3 children Ray Jr. ( Laurie), Chris (Gary Irvine)
and Ren, and 4 grandchildren, Scott, Alissa, Christopher and Matthew. He also has many relatives residing in the Philippines. He loved his family very much.
On Sunday, July 18, 2010, there will be a viewing beginning at 6:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm at Acacia Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Seattle, WA.
On Monday, July 19, 2010, there will be a Funeral Mass, beginning at 10:30am at St. Pius X Catholic Parish in Mountlake Terrace, WA, followed by a Burial at Holyrood Catholic Cemetary in Shoreline, WA.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
He will be greatly missed by every life he touched.
