Raymond Eckman passed away March 22, 2019 in Seattle, WA at the age of 93. Ray was born November 15, 1925 to Fred and Elizabeth Eckman in Burnstad, North Dakota. The second of six children. Ray joined the army in 1944 where he fought in World War II and then in the Korean war where he was wounded. He was honorably discharged in May of 1952 and moved to Billings, Montana.
Ray met and married Yvonne Krieger on October 3, 1954 and had two daughters Lynn and Debbie. In 1969 Ray moved his family to Seattle and worked at Alpak Container until his retirement in 1988. He enjoyed football and baseball, visiting with friends and family and loved to travel.
He was preceded in death by his Wife, Yvonne; his Daughter, Lynn (Malaspino); and his Grandson, Robert Malaspino, Jr. He is survived by Daughter, Debbie (Kenny) Banghart of Seattle, WA; Brother, Ivan Eckman of Seattle, WA; Sister, Dorothy Schaffer of Albany OR; Grandson, Nick Banghart of Seattle, WA and Great-Granddaughter, Lacy Lynn Malaspino.
