

Dick was born on March 22, 1922 in Wenatchee, Washington to Harold and Muriel Langham. The family moved to Seattle in 1940 and he graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1941. He enlisted in the Air Force and trained as a B-17 radio operator. The war ended and he spent two years flying with the Air Corp all over the world. He met his future wife, Betty Jacobson, while waterskiing on Lake Washington and they were married in 1950. Dick worked as a printer for the Seattle Times and retired after 33 years. Dick played hockey for many years, was one of the founding members of the Water Ski Association, and an avid snow skier. He also enjoyed photography, politics, and loved going to the circus. Dick is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Langham, his parents, and his brother Robert Langham, He is survived by his daughters; Sandra Langham and her children Aaron Westfall and Chace Langham-Minor; Margo Thomas and her children Audrey and Elise Kolde; and Beth Ostrom (Russ) and their children Anna, Emma and Jenna Ostrom.
