Robert Eugene Cysewski was born on March 9th, 1932 in Winona Minnesota. He lived there in a small polish community with his 4 sisters Barbra Skeels, Eleanore Houck, Mary Johnson, Betty Beranek and parents Clement Cysewski and Frances Schreiber. He is survived by his son Rick Cysewski and wife Lisa, and their children Sean and Mackenzie Cysewski and long time friend Donna Foss.
Bob was a strong Navy man. He enlisted after high school as he had water running through his veins from all the time he spent on the Mississippi River as a child. He served in the Koren War from 1951-1955. Although it was a job, Bob saw it as his “World tour”. He often talked about all the places he went including through the Panama canal, Japan, Cuba and other far away lands. After the Navy he went West with his buddy Pete looking for work. He decided to put up roots in West Seattle. That is where he met his wife Corena and started his family. Bob went to work at a cannery factory and eventually Boeing. He put his electrician skills from the Navy to use there.
After he retired, Bob frequented many West Seattle establishments. He attended performances at the 5th Avenue theater with Donna and saw plenty of Seattle sporting matches over the years. He was a die hard Mariner and Seahawk fan as well as all the other Seattle teams. He was a jokester at heart and always made everyone laugh with his dry sense of humor. He was not only a good friend, but a great man. He will be dearly missed by his family and everyone that knew him.
