

Robert L "Bob" Underhill, 92, of Kenmore, WA, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 5th, 2021.
Bob was born on July 24th, 1928 to Oscar and May (Lindal) Underhill in Bellingham, WA. He spoke often of growing up near Whatcom Falls Park and Larson Mill where his father worked most of his career and Bob had his first job.
Bob attended Bellingham High School where he met Doreen Short. They spent the next two years at Western Washington College where Bob attended Officer Candidate School and Doreen was in Nursing School. They married in Gulfport, MI on December 18, 1948 while Bob was attending Navy flight training in Pensacola FL.
Bob and Doreen returned to Bellingham in 1950 where they started their family and Bob returned to Larson Mill where he worked until it closed. In 1957 his family moved to Kenmore, WA where he lived for over 60 years.
Over his accounting career Bob worked for Larson Mill, Boeing, Reinell Boats & Foss Maritime. In retirement he enjoyed many trips to his favorite vacation place, Hawaii. He has also shared his love of gardening, photography, hiking & reading with his family.
Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Doreen, son Robert, and grandson Christopher Clements. He is survived by his children, Suzanne (James) Bannister, Barbara Clements, Michael (Claudia) Underhill; his grandchildren, Megan and Michael Bannister, Kevin (Maryann VanHorn) and Colin Clements (Brianna Wilson); and his great grandchildren, Jayden Servin & Hazel Clements.
