Roy L. Fischer 9/1/1922 - 2/15/2015 Born in North Dakota he was raised in Ridgefield WA. He was the youngest of 12 children, the son of Russian immigrant parents. He served in the US Army during WWII. He was stationed in Canada and Alaska and helped build the Alaska-Canada Highway. He attended the University of Washington. In 1950 he married his beloved wife Barbara and raised a family in Bellevue. Mr Fischer worked as an insurance underwriter for over 40 years. He was a proud member of the Elks Club for 72 years, "Brother Roy". Preceded in death by wife Barbara. Survived by son David and daughter Debra, both of Seattle, numerous nieces and nephews and his cherished cat Dolly. Charities: Feral Cat Project. Starkey Hearing Foundation.
