A Life of Service, Leadership, and Enterprise
Rudy Madayag, beloved husband of Christel, passed away at the age of 96, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of military service, leadership, invention, entrepreneurship, and family.
Born in the Philippines, Rudy’s life journey took him far beyond his birthplace and into a distinguished career serving the United States Army. Over the course of 28 years of military service, he demonstrated the discipline, dedication, and leadership that earned him the rank of Command Sergeant Major, one of the highest ranks in the Army’s enlisted leadership.
His military career represented decades of commitment to duty, responsibility, and service to his country and fellow soldiers. Attaining this senior leadership rank reflected a lifetime of experience, perseverance, and dedication.
Following his military service, Rudy became an inventor and founded RM Products, Inc., specializing in map-reading and navigation aids. Drawing on his military experience and knowledge of navigation, he transformed his ideas and expertise into an entrepreneurial pursuit, continuing to contribute his ingenuity long after leaving military service.
His transition from military leadership to invention and business ownership reflected his determination to embrace new challenges and build something of his own. Retirement became an opportunity to extend his professional legacy beyond the Army.
Above all, Rudy leaves behind a family whose lives are forever connected to his own. He is survived by his beloved wife, Christel; his son, Mario, and daughter-in-law, Sandra; his granddaughter, Marellen, and her husband, Matt; his great-grandchildren, Madilynn and Marlo; and his brothers and sisters, Caridad, Conrad, Stanley, Leonila, Reynaldo, and Luz, with whom he shared the bonds of family and a connection to his Filipino roots.
Living to the age of 96, Rudy witnessed nearly a century of change. His journey from the Philippines to a distinguished military career and, ultimately, to becoming an inventor and founding his own company was one of perseverance, accomplishment, and purpose.
Rudy’s legacy lives on not only through his military service, inventive spirit, and entrepreneurial achievements, but also through the family he loved and the generations who will carry his memory forward.
May his life be remembered with pride, his service honored with gratitude, and his memory cherished with love.
Rest in peace, Rudy Madayag. A life of service, a legacy of leadership, and a journey well lived.
