Sam was born in the Philippines and moved to Burien, Washington, when he was 11. There, he met the love of his life, Stephanie in 1988 and from 1989 on, she was the center of his world. They welcomed 2 sons in 1996 and 1999, and were married in 2001.
Sam enjoyed working with his hands and learned many trades in his life, including welding. He was a hard working, and determined man who always did his best to provide for his family. He was proud of his airplane painting career of 15 years at Boeing.
Sam left an impact on every person he met. His words of wisdom, silly jokes, and willingness to help others will forever be cherished. He loved his wife and family, and dedicated his life to providing for them. Sam was so proud of Stephanie, the life they built together, their children, and their grandchildren. He loved his Harley and rode 333 days a year.
Sam was preceded in death by his father, William “Woody” Wood, 1933-1999.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife and life partner of 38 years, Stephanie; children: Vector (Sarah) and Ryan (Jedi); grandchildren: Ember, Willow, and Anvil; mother, Ana Wood; as well as numerous relatives, friends, and co-workers. Sam will be dearly missed by his 2 dogs, Petrie and Sassy.
