Samvel Pogosian

Born in the small, historic land of Artsakh during the Soviet era, Samvel was the beloved son of Alexander and Isabella. He grew up with a sharp, analytical mind and an enduring work ethic, eventually earning his Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov (SSTU).

While Samvel was a brilliant engineer, his true life’s work was the fierce protection and care of those he loved. During the incredibly turbulent and difficult years of the 1990s, he stood as a pillar of strength for his family. When conflict came to his homeland, Samvel bravely went through war, risking everything to protect both his family and his beloved motherland. His resilience and bravery during these times defined his character and ensured a future for the generations that followed him.

Above all his achievements, Samvel’s greatest pride was his family. He was a deeply loving and devoted husband to his wife, Nune, with whom he built a life anchored in mutual respect and love. As a father, he prioritized his three children—Sofya, David, and Aik—above all else, teaching them the values of loyalty, sacrifice, and family unity.

His legacy of love continues to shine through his six cherished grandchildren: Camilla, Alexander, Leon, Artur, Lili, and Emily, who brought immense joy to his life.

Samvel lived his life with a clear purpose:his family always came first. His absence leaves a profound void, but his spirit of courage, love, and unwavering protection will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. He will be deeply, deeply missed.
