Scott Andrew Teuber Sr

He is survived by his four children, Cynthia, Scott (Cindi), Steven, and Stan (Kassi). His grandchildren, Jon, Zachary, Noah, Jack, and Troy. His many step-grandchildren, Melissa, Rashal, Peyton, Kileigh, Dustin, Taylor, and Lane. And two great-grandchildren, Adeline and Rush. Rush is named after my dad’s nickname.

His wife Bonnie passed away April 1, 2012. Scott and Bonnie were married for 50 years; they will now be united for eternity. His parents were Carl Hartley Teuber, 1900-1951, and Della Lumbert Teuber, 1902-1951.

His oldest brother Carl James, aka Tip; Eunice Della, aka Babe; Donald Jack, aka Gooby; Stanley, aka Bunk; Adeline, aka Alice; Raymond Wayne; Paul Hartley; and Scott Andrew, the youngest.

He grew up here in and around White Center and attended Evergreen High School the first year it was open. All four of his children also attended, as well as his grandson Jonny.

Scott spent his younger years working in Alaska; he was part of the original Deadliest Catch. When I asked him if he knew any of the crew from the popular TV show, he said he knew their parents. He fished from Chignik to the Bering Sea and knew Dutch Harbor intimately. His wife Bonnie learned how to cook and prepare salted Alaska salmon a dozen different ways, but her ‘fish pie’ was legend.

Our dad lost both his parents when he was only 10 years old. We had Auntie Babe, his older sister who always loved us like we were grandchildren. We also had Grandma Carson, his good friend Gil Carson's mom; she was also a big part of our lives growing up.

After he retired from fishing, he went to work as a longshoreman.

He worked on the docks for the next 20 years.

Dad died peacefully in his sleep.
