Sharon, a member of the Bothell High School class of 1963, passed away during the night of Wednesday, May 7th. Sharon was a devoted wife to John Hanson, also of the BHS class of 1963. They were married for 57 years. She was a devoted mother of two children, Todd and Michelle, and a devoted grandmother to four grandchildren, Jayden, Bauer, Terron, Bridget, and very close to her sister Sydney.
Sharon suffered for many years from various health issues even going to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota (as her mother had done) for help from the doctors there. She possessed an inner strength unmatched to accept these medical challenges and endure them without complaint. She still had time to meet a few of us periodically at a casino. She also found time to cruise to Alaska multiple times. She was one of the co-organizers of our BHS reunions up to and including the 45th. Her greatest joy was being with her family, whether just being together for a meal or spending longer periods like the annual family trips to Cannon Beach. Her family lit up her life.
Sharon had a philosophy in life to always look for the good in everything and in every person. She was a very wonderful person, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, with a heart of gold. She is missed by many and will forever be a model of strength under adversity.
