Shirley Violet Johnson (93) went home to be with her husband William Carl Johnson and her son William Roy (Rusty) Johnson on May 3rd 2021. Shirley was born on June 3rd 1927 in Seattle to Leroy H Bradley and Violet S Bradley. Shirley Graduated from Lincoln High School in Seattle and after the war she met and married William (Bill) and raised two boys. While being a mother of two she still had time to pursue a career in the banking business which she greatly enjoyed until she retired.
Shirley loved to travel and took many road trips touring all over Canada and the U.S.A. as well as world traveler visiting many countries from Europe, Asia and the Middle East. One of her greatest treasures was her cabin on Lake Roesiger where she would spend her summers and weekends enjoying the lake and watching the sunshine bouncing off the water which she would describe as dancing diamonds. Every year on opening day of fishing season the family would have a fishing derby, she would be busy making breakfast for everyone while marveling at the competition of the anglers all trying to win first place prize and have their name written on the fishing trophy.
Shirley made a lasting impression on all who met her and brought joy to many hearts.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband William C Johnson and Her son William R Johnson. Shirley is survived by her son Robert C Johnson, Four Grandchildren David Shuffelton; Mark Johnson: Heather Snowden and Christopher Johnson and two great grandchildren Natalie Snowden and June Johnson.
A family gravesite celebration of life service will be held on July 10th at 11;00 A.M., Acacia Cemetery 14951 Bothell Way N.E. Seattle, WA. 98155.
