

Steven Muller Li was born on September 7, 1951 in Pittsburgh, PA to Dr. Ching Chun (CC) Li, d. 2003 and Clara Lem Li. He passed away in Seattle on November 3, 2015 of pancreatic cancer diagnosed in February. He is survived by his mother Clara Lem Li, children Jeffrey Li and Juliet Li, their mother Kerry Rowland Li, his sister Carol, and many aunts and cousins.
Steve graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Zoology in 1974, and a Masters in Public Health in 1980. He worked in the field of Industrial Hygiene for various companies, retiring from Amgen in December 2014.
Steve was a world traveler, visiting many countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. He lived with his family for a time in Kuala Lampur Malaysia while employed with Telacom Malaysia.
Steve enjoyed kayaking, hiking, cinema, basketball and spending time with his children and many friends. Steve was a 4th degree black belt in Aikido. He was involved in scouting with his son Jeffrey, from Cub to Boy Scouts in Troop 144 and had a role of Scout Master and Assistant Scoutmaster.
Steve wrote the following poem to say goodbye to those left behind:
Farewell dear friends
Miss me. Miss me not;
An occasional reminiscing thought.
We shared our moments in time;
So bright, so fine.
Farewell.
A Celebration of Life for Steve will be planned for some time after the New Year.
