sad to  hear of  this .. happy memories with the Wallag family...like hockey games with Mr. Wallag and  Ted ...became acquainted with Urs through her brother Ted, when he and I were classmates boarding in high school.  Ted would receive letters from his sisters and they were extraordinary. The envelopes were artfully done.  Years later in college Ted Invited me to stay at Central for a weekend ski trip. Urs sent me a letter to confirm plans. Wow, I had gotten a letter from Urs, and it was special. Her signature had waves of spectacularly colorful bands emanating from the stylized letters Urs. ...years later she visited and unexpectedly brought a unique plant as a house warming gift. ..most importantly  she told me about myself in an honest and direct way as a friend, which I appreciate and think about to this day.

Dear Jan, Ted and family,

I just found out about Ursula's passing and was stunned.  I'm so, so sorry for your loss. 

Although we had not been in touch for many years, please know that she is someone that I've never forgotten and
always have very good childhood memories of (teenage also!?).

From the day we both realized we shared the names "Ursula Eugenia" to the times that we were at Bialowieza together - I'll never forget her laugh, great sense of style, and wonderful spirit! I'm sure, as her life progressed, she touched many lives and will never be forgotten.

I just learned today of Ursula's passing   We became friends working together during her time in Vero Beach.  We lost touch through the years but I always thought of her with such affection as a beautiful, smart, funny, kind and classy woman.  My deepest sympathies to her family who will miss her bright light so much

 I've only known her for five months but she was a beautiful spirit and a beautiful person inside and out! I will truly miss her, but I'm glad she is at peace and no more suffering!

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Ursula's passing but I know she is in a better place now. In loving memory of a dear, wonderful person. Thank you for the laughs and smiles; I will miss you always. God Bless You.

Ursula, you were the BFF/sister anyone could have ever had in this world! Your BIG compassionate heart was unstoppable. My heart breaks over the loss of you and how I will no longer hear your cheerful voice and infectious laugh! You will always be in my heart and my prayers forever! 45 + years of friendship that we shared was and still is a abundant blessing!

Ursula was my closest and best friend for 32 years. We met in New York City when we both worked in the fashion industry where Ursula was a very talented designer and a gifted artist. She had exquisite taste, exceptional class and a very keen eye for fashion and beauty.  We shared many great times together, traveling and spending time in NYC, the Caribbean, Mexico, Michigan and Seattle. I have always admired Ursula for her tenacity and strength and for always keeping her faith. She was confident in her abilities, yet very humble. Ursula was always willing to help others and just loved to put a smile on someone's face, never expecting or accepting anything in return. 

I want to wish my deepest sympathy to the family and friends she held so dear.  I count myself lucky to have known such a beautiful person, both inside and out.  She will be surely be missed.  I know that Ursula is now "sleeping with the Angels" as she would say and is looking down on all of us with her big, beautiful smile assuring us that she is OK.

I will really miss my lovely, extremely caring, generous and loyal friend more than words can express. I know you will still always be with me in spirit,  Pretty Ursula.

Ursula was my Pani. I will miss her dearly. She was an amazing person.Strong and willfull she taught me how to live with cancer, in dignity and optimism. She never gave up hope. I will take good care of her precious Arthur.

My dear, kind friend Urs.  I will so miss the fun times, laughs and even tears we shared.  Coming to work each day, I always wondered "Which stunning outfit will Ursula wear today?"!  Talent, kindness, bravery, driven and generosity are just a few of her wonderful traits.  She was truly loved and will be truly missed.

It was a pleasure joy to know you. With your kind gestures of beautiful card and gift for any celebration was remarkable and memorable. We had become very good friends and enjoyed each others company. You have my deepest sympathy and I miss you Ursula

Ursula was a dear friend; very kind and thoughtful.  I loved hearing about Art Cat and his many antics.  I appreciated so much that she was able to come to my wedding and share my special day.  I remember she helped me transplant some of her plants to help make my place more homey.  In the 6 years I had known her, she was fighting one kind of cancer after another.  Her battle is now over and she is now in peace.  I will miss you Ursula; you were a good friend.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.  Working side by side with her for much of the past year, I thoroughly enjoyed her company, insight, experience, stories of home, design, her family, brother and her cat.  She has been an enrichment on my life and those who have known her are better for having been touched by her essence.

Ursula was a kind and caring person and will be missed by all whose lives she touched. :-(
