Virginia Ann Bacon, age 80, passed away on April 11, 2026. Born on April 22, 1945, Virginia was raised in a Catholic family and, as the oldest of seven children, carried early on a steady sense of responsibility and care for those around her.
Over the course of a remarkable 38-year career at the Federal Reserve, Virginia earned the respect and affection of many colleagues. She was known as a wonderful leader—someone whose presence brought steadiness, clarity, and purpose to the work at hand, and whose example left a lasting impression on those who had the privilege of working alongside her.
Virginia was a loving and dedicated mother. She is survived by her three sons: Robert, Jarrod, and Darrin. Her devotion to family was a defining part of her life, expressed through steadfast support, deep care, and a constant readiness to show up for the people she loved.
Outside of work and family, Virginia found joy in the beauty of making things by hand. She had a deep passion for arts and crafts, especially knitting, stained glass, painting, and jewelry—pursuits that reflected both patience and creativity, and that brought color and warmth to everyday life.
Above all, Virginia will be remembered for her remarkable lust for life—a spirit that endured, uplifted, and inspired. Her life was one of commitment, creativity, and enduring love, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
